and midwest.  The apparel stores cater to 12 to 18 year old male and
female skateboarders and snowboarders, and occupy spaces of 2,000 sq.ft.
to 2,500 sq.ft. in regional malls.  Plans call for 20 openings in the
coming 18 months in Upstate NY and Chicago.  The company cites Pacific
Sunwear and Mr. Rags as its major competitors.  Leases running ten years
are typical, and a vanilla shell is required.  Average sales are $450
psf.  Demographic requirements include a population of 50,000 residing
within five miles earning an average income of $35,000.
